Moving Pension

Hey Everyone,

I've applied to transfer my stakeholder pension from Virgin Money to Scottish Widows but it's frying my head in. It's so slow! Also whenever I ring up people dont have a clue. I'm contracted out of the S2P with Virgin. I asked if it would be transfered with my Stakeholder to Scottish Widows and by the time i'd been moved around 5 departments they told me to ring HMRC :rolleyes:

Anyones else got experience of moving Stakeholder Pensions?

Yes. Its straight forward but can take 4-8 weeks for the transfer to go through and that assumes all paperwork is complete.

With protected rights being involved, did you complete the necessary CA forms? CA1544 comes to mind but possibly one other.

I did a transfer out of Virgin for a client in June and it took 6 weeks and that was with all required paperwork supplied up front and me pushing it with a couple of chaser calls.
