Wood Fueled Boilers "New Incentive"

Ive just heard on the grapevine ..that there is to be a new tariff announced ..they think April next year.
The incentive will pay owners of certain highly efficient stoves that supply heating of the whole dwelling with a back boiler and radiators a tariff between £700 and £900 a year ..seems to good to be true.
The wood stove has to be on this list ..that is not populated fully at the moment
http://www.microgenerationcertification.org/Home+and+Business+Owners/Microgeneration+Products/Biomass
if this is all true ..i will forget the condensing boiler ..and go wood.
any more info..much appreciated .
all the best. markJ

The RHI consultation document can be found here,
http://www.decc.gov.uk/en/content/cms/what_we_do/uk_supply/energy_mix/renewable/policy/renewable_heat/incentive/incentive.aspx
http://www.decc.gov.uk/en/content/cms/consultations/rhi/rhi.aspx
However this document is a bit out of date since the new coalition Government came in, but it is still being supported and will probably still go ahead perhaps in a different format / rate / term etc.......now to be confirmed in October, we wait and see. There are three types of people in this world...those that can count ...and those that can't!

Hmm, Ive just been looking at that list i posted ..
before i posted i was imagining cosy hunter or charnwood style log burners ...
no ...not..none .
What you have is huge bear-moth cubic type things..cheapest being £6500 ...you don't see the fire at all ......they need a boiler room ..over-complicated with motors and gizmo's...stacks of logs in them all cut to exact size ..no nails ..paint ..and 100 percent dry.. they even have lambda probes...they look twice as likely to cost you as much in repairs as a couple of dozen condensing boilers.
so i will quietly put that idea aside.

There are pellet burners which also apply which use bags you can top-load. They have a screw to keep the fire burning automatically. there are also log burning stoves. They should be roughly 80% water heating for the rest of the house (To central heating / water tank and 20% space heating in the room they're in. Some are designed to look nice and take pride of place in a room.
Vokera have a pellet example.
I cant post a link so google "vokera pellet boiler"0 -

Well it seems ...these stoves have to comply with certain standards ..
The standards are set by the Micro Generation Certificate Scheme.
This is an independent organization like CORGI
The manufacturers have to go to them ..to get the stoves and appliances certified
The standard is 75 % efficient EN14785 and EN13240
I spoke with Charnwood today ..one of the directors...Mark Wells...he knew nothing of the scheme...me speaking to him ..was the first he had heard of it ..
He said that most of his products were 75 % efficient
and were EN13240
I also spoke with Hunter Parkray
same story there.
So we have this renewable heat incentive ...and manufacturector of approved appliances going to outside UK ...because of lack of communication.......
So, that's two of the biggest manufacturers in UK ...ones that sell these stoves for £1200 - £2000...unable to sell them to us ...instead .we have to buy foreign ugly, costing £6000 upwards.
Also the two biggest stove log burner, solid fuel show rooms in my part of the country... Saxon in Chirk and RN.Williams in St Asaph..North Wales ...also know nothing about the schemes.
until government start communicating..we have no hope.
