ED letter from OR and new Income & Expenditure form

Hi all, need some advice please. went BR March 18 this year; fairly straightforward, as at the time I was unemployed and no assets, single, etc, I worked through it at the time with the help of this site and it was a fairly uncomplicated BR.
From advice I received here, I did call the OR office and asked about early discharge after 4 months (the earliest that they can start an ED). They said yes you should (given your circumstamnces, and the completion of their investigations) be eligeble for ED but not until August.
Sure enough received a letter yesterday stating that they would seek ED, which will take some weeks, as they will have to contact all my creditors and answer off any objections. They also now ask for an updated Inc & Expenditure and as I have now started work July 19th; I need to fill this in.
Now given that this is to help them to decide iof I should be subject to an Income Payments Order, which lasts 3 years I believe and knowing that even though I have a job I am surely borderline regards any spare after my bills are paid...
I am seeking help on what is considered allowable expenses; I am not talking about rent, council tax etc but perhaps the less obvious areas like prescriptions (which I have to pay £14 for every 56 days) and dentistry etc....
So if anyone has a definitive list otr any advice I would welcome it; I really don't mind paying if I should do but equally I want to make sure I do cover off those tyoes of expenses that are reall expenses and do have to be paid.

There is no definitive list only guidelines, you are best putting down what you actually have to pay out each month.:pB&SC No. 298

Thanks Dojoman; yeah i'll get that together and post; although since posting I have viewed an earlier post that has comments which has helped me think of things I hadn't considered.
Antoher question: I live 62 miles from my place of work (talk about 'getting on yer bike' from years ago) so a round trip of 124; I can't claim expenses for that and at present have to go into my office everyday. On my SOA that will be approx £400 per month in essential travelling (rail card etc isn't any chaper than car); excessive I know but if you want a job these days!! Do you think they will have an issue with this? It's a genuine expense although given time I may be able to work from home couple of days a week.0 -
Can you enquire/ask about ED??? I didn't know that!Donna

you cant....IF the OR deems ED a possibility they will send a new SOA to sort (labled edrev) at the bottom of this letter it clearly states NO calls/emails etc regarding ED (nothing to stop you ringing about something else & slipping it into a conversation)We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
Well whilst I agree with philnicandamy to some degree, I did speak to the examiner who I dealt with whilst going thru BR, but I wrapped it up with a change of adress and slipped the question in about ED. You can't actually apply for it etc but whemn I askd the question I was told that I 'could' be eligible for ED but that it wouldn't be until August at least; then lo and behold the letter arrived.
Iy ceryainlt says ythat whilst they are considering the ED and payment order I am not to contact them about it or it could delay any decision and ED itself. so its a waiting game really once I have submitted my new SOA.0 -
Im glad it worked out for you, I wouldnt phone and ask though-ORs very busy and its a lot of extra work for them, I was lucky and got ED-but I was with RTLU who seem less stressed out than OR office IMO.0

Oh I didn't intend to ring about it. I was just shocked to even think about ASKING lol.
I went into this expecting to pay my full pennance and am fully willing to do that - I do get annoyed that companies and bank especially look at us like we are lepers (no offence to lepers). I made mistakes, some as far back as almost 20 years ago, bad choices at an early age - these came back to bite me in the bum when years later having taken much to much on our plates hubby lost his job and we couldn't continue to pay our way as we always had before.
I don't feel its fair the way we are excluded from bank accounts etc. I don't want credit facilities but I would like more choice on where to bank and (sorry Co-op) better internet banking.
But that is the Bankruptees lot and I have to be greatful that I didn't live in the past as I would be languishing in gaol now! :eek:Donna
