IF and Westcot

OK, here's a brief synopsis of what has happened with a credit card I had from IF.
Many months ago (possibly about 2 years ago), IF decided to autocratically reduce my credit limit on my credit card, which left me over my new limit. I complained to IF and whilst they were dealing with my complaint (which took weeks/months) all the time they simply added charges and late fees to my account.
The upshot of this is I ended up with a debt which I disputed. Regardless of that, IF decided to sell my debt some time ago and it seems as if it has been passed around from pillar to post since then.
I have always requested that IF drop the charges and late fees on the card as I was in dispute but they refused.
Just lately I have had two letters from two different DCA's (Westcot being one of them) and today I have received a statement of the account directly from IF! (I haven't had a statement from IF on this account for months, if not over a year!)
So now I'm confused. Personally, I've been a little slack with my recent correspondence (thinking that I was taking the moral high ground by defending my 'dispute the amount' stance), but it seems now there is a three-pronged attack from IF, Westcot and A N Other.
Where do I stand on this debt?
Who should I contact?
What can I request from them?
Can I point any fingers here in that there seems to be everyone and their brother asking about the debt?
Your help, as always, would be appreciated.
