My DD and her partner arre househunting.
Thy have found a property they have fallen for.

It is £160K

They have £25K deposit.

He can get a £100K mortgage on his salary.
Unfortunately DD has a bad credit history. She degaulted up to 2008 and has no debts now and has had none for the past 2 years. She works and is paid pretty well and has sorted herself out.

Is there any way that she can be considered for the rest of this
mortgage ie £35k. Do any companies actually look at recent records.

Or would it be possible for me and my OH to take out a mortgage/loan, lend it to them or would that cause problems.

They intend to repay the whole mortgage off when a house he owns sells in the not too distant future (which is mortgage free)

Or can anyone give us any other way around it.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

    Hi
Have they both actually applied for a mortgage? I would suggest they talk to a mortgage adviser as they will be able to give them all the answers
    hope this helps

They have an appointment on Saturday with a mortgage advisor but they went on spec to Halifax last Sat and were refused because of the bad credit. Not having had anything in my life like this before i thought that all of them might refuse for the same reason. I was just trying to think of another way round it.
    Thanks
