Highsleeper Bed with Single Futon & Desk Under

My sons bed frame needs replacing, we would like to get him a high sleeper with a chair/bed futon and desk underneath.

Can anyone recommend one, the one's I look at don't seem that sturdy and prices vary immensely......only have about £250 to spend.

Also wondering if I would be better off buying the loft bed frame from IKEA and putting a separate futon & desk underneath?
:hello:

  • my friend looked at the Ikea ones but said they are higher than usual and were too high for her rooms

We got one of the ones from argos where the chair underneath pulls out into a bed. With no mattress they are £449 at the moment - they say "new" on the page but they look identical to the one we got a year or so ago. Its really sturdy. That is more than you wanted to spend, so have you looked on ebay? There was loads on there when we were looking but none in our area at the time.
