I have problems getting black trousers for work too! They either seem cheap and nasty or expensive and delicate...for retail I don't need finest suit quality trousers, just something very hard wearing, comfortable and not too expensive so I can buy several pairs.0

I usually buy army/RAF clothes for work, as they are of a good quality and very comfy. Might be worth you looking for a store in your town or look on t'internet?
Dave to help preserve the blackness of your new ones, iron them inside out to get all the creases out (flat) then turn them the right way to do the linesI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.
