Just wondered if anyone could give me some advice on what to do.....
I received an email from Playstation last Thursday morning to say that while I wasn't the main winner of a prize, the prize included two tickets to the Expendables premiere for Mon 9th (last night) which the main winner didn't want, so would I like them. If so, I had to state whether I wanted to collect them at the venue or have them couriered out.
I emailed back to say that yes I would like them and could they be couriered out ( I live a 4 hour drive from London so would prefer to have them in my hand before setting off). They agreed to do this, so on their confirmation my mum (my +1) booked a days holiday for yesterday and I paid £40 for my son to go into nursery for an extra day.
On Sunday night (having been away for the weekend) I arrived home to find no tickets had arrived, and an email stating that the promoter wanted to hand over the tickets at the venue and would this be ok and could I send my number? I emailed back stating that it would be ok however could someone contact me first thing in the morning with the arrangements as I was driving a long way and wanted to be certain of the arrangements before I set off.
On Monday morning having sent 2 more emails asking for information and explaining the long drive we had ahead of us, nobody contacted me until half 1 in the afternoon which was too late for us to make it in time for the premiere.
The man on the phone was apologetic and said that he would see if he could send out some other type of prize as a consolation but I got the feeling that he was just saying that as he didn't really know what else to say.
Do you think I should send an email explaining that its left me out of pocket or am I being unreasonable?

Hi binna, what bad luck
I don't see any harm in emailing them and laying out the story just as you have here. Always better to have things in writing, and then they can have to it hand when deciding what compensation, if any, to send you.
Hope you have a nice win soon to make up for this.0 -
Aww you poor thing, that's very annoying!
You should definintely email them, there's no harm in that and at least then you've got a chance at getting some compensation or something from them. Good luck x0 -
yes I would for sure email them explaining them, it is a shame you could not call them on the Monday morning, Hope a nice prize makes it way to you soon.0

I know that was the annoying thing that there was no phone number or contact name to ring on their email.
I'll send an email off to them and see what they say. Thanks to all for the advice xThe best things in life are free - Janet and Luther:
