CCJ's DVLA fraudulantly registered to my address

Hi,
not posted on this forum before and I'm not sure whether anyone can point me in the right direction. We own a pub in London, that my brother lives above. For a while now we have been getting letters from various councils about traffic infringements. mainly speeding and parking fines concerning someone called Samual Alam whose registered address is our pub. We have never heard of this guy, and I sent a VAT registration document to one of the bailiffs that just had my brothers and my name on to 'prove' this guy didn't live there. Of course that doesn't prove anything. We have not heard anything back from then, and today another letter regarding a penalty offence from Northampton County Court from a bailiff. How could this guy have registered his address as ours ? Surely his driving license would have been sent to our address, unless he changed his registered address after obtaining his license. More worrying is it likely that our address will be blacklisted now by any financial institution ? Is contacting the DVLA the best route ?

Hi seagull, I'd go to the police and explain that you are getting fines etc for this bloke. Its seems obvious that every time he's stopped he's giving your address. He could be an illegal or anything!! You could write to the DVLA, but I don't know if they'd tell you anything, Data Protection and all that. I should think it's up to them to prove he does live there, not for you to prove he doesn't!!0

People are "blacklisted" not addresses so your credit reference file should not be affected."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools"

DVLA are a shocking organisation.
Due to a similar situation I actually have 3 points on my license that I never gained!
My license was stolen in a burglary many, many years ago. Apparently some Gansta uses it when he gets stopped for speeding. He actually sent my license off (with my address) paid his £60 fine. The magistrates dont query this and sent the licence back to him!!!
DVLA didnt query either as that license had been stopped when burgled.
I couldnt even get it reversed because as the fine was paid an offence hadnt been committed!! Drives you barmy...
And all because DVLA didnt spot my revoked license - they are a waste of time.
In your case might be worth contacting them and getting a 'marker' placed on this guys details, just need to work your way round 'the robots' there.
