I'm taking my gran shopping this afternoon, so as long as I can drive like Miss Daisy and make the tea-cup full of petrol I have last I should be able to have a no-spend weekend. Then I'm going to challenge myself to make a tank of petrol last the rest of the month.

It should be possible, my daily commute is 30 miles - so thats 300 miles for the next two weeks and if I drive really carefully I can manage 400 miles to a tank I think.

Have a lovely weekend money savers

  • I did a charity walk all night last night round the distance of the circle line (London underground line) but around the streets so I only just got up. Sleeping all day definitely helps with the money saving. I was just debating the possibility of ringing a pedicure place and seeing if they can turn my poor decrepid feet back into sparkling tootsies but I've left it a bit late and I'm feeling a bit antisocial so I probably wont bother. I have food already so I'm going to have roast chicken for dinner so with a bit of luck my spend might be the price of a newspaper £1.30 I'll try and make sure it is now I've said that :)
