I've been using them since they were introduced here and have found the milk keeps very well, so I believe the packaging works fine. I don't use the plastic jug however, I pour the milk in to a glass jug. One possible problem with reusing the same container, whatever the type, is that if you leave even a small trace of old milk, it will cause the new milk to go off faster. I prefer the glass jug as it can be easily and thoroughly cleaned with hot water and washing up liquid.

Yeh I wash the jug in hot soapy water between pouches.

One of them wnet off tomorrow and was rancid this morning?!? So its the pouches for me. Maybe something to do with the my store.
  • Off topic but might give some of you a laugh/make you hurl.

I witnessed one of these that had been left in student accomodation for THREE WEEKS in a cupboard (room temp).

I shan't go into detail, because I'm sure all of you can imagine the smell/appearence of the Jug-it.

Conclusion - it won't keep at all if you leave it in a cupboard for three weeks.

    Students: avoid.
    Two thumbs fresh!:money:
