We've got 4 months yet until the start of next year. It's a bit premature to therefore state their prediction is wrong, because oil prices have fallen $5 a barrel this week.

I think they will continue to fall a bit yet based on the recent US data etc.

It will only shoot up if we start seeing some kind of stronger recovery.

You can check your local prices here: http://www.petrolprices.com

On there, mine say it's 114.9 to 120.9 in my area, with an average of 117.9p. There are only three petrol stations though, next one's about 15 miles away - and everybody knows you only go to Morrisons as it's cheapest... other two are for tourists.

I don't know what the fuss is about.

I've been driving for 30 years and in that time petrol hasn't gone up at all.
It has always cost me a tenner.

I have noticed diesel has started to pull away from petrol again, that is at least a sign the worlds economys are looking better than they were (for now).

Either that or forecorts have realised more diesel cars are bing sold than petrol ones now. :)

That is interesting, do they have a big difference on tax rates for the two?

Just thought I would revive this, look how three days spoils a prediction.

    chart?chart_primary_ticker=ICEEUR:BRN&chart_time_period=1_month&canvas_colour=000000&primary_chart_colour=cc0000&use_transparency=0&plot_colour=ffffff&cp_line_colour=000099&margin_left=35&margin_bottom=20&margin_right=20&time_24hr=1&tiny_chart=1&tiny_month_view=1&logo_strength=light&y_axis_left=1&x_axis_plain=1&cp_line=1&cp_line_style=dotline&charting_freq=1_minute&co_dimension^width=629&co_dimension^height=190

Down 2% today, Now $76.12, down around 6% in three days.
Do you buy it by the barrel? Wow, big car.

The usual scam. Whatever happens to the currrency, or the price of crude, petrol always seems to cost more.

Funny, I was thinking the same about houses.

Nah, must be due to supply and demand. There is only a limited amount of oil, don`t you know ?

If I could buy diesel for $75.39 (which it has now dropped to) for 42 gallons I would.

So would I. But I buy it from a garage. It's not much below its all time high now. I hope it goes down again.
