Please help

Hi all,
New to this forum so apologies if this in the wrong place.
I'm sure this question gets asked all the time, and I've done quite a bit of searching through other threads but getting very confused by the whole thing.
I got myself into debt and sought advice from the CCCS who were very helpful.
I have been managing my debt myself, got in touch with my creditors and offered reduced payments which they all accepted.
However, I'm having real problems with NDR/Littlewoods. My original debt to them was approx £188 and I've paid them £120 so far, however they keep adding charges every month so I still owe them £120. I just wonder what is the point is paying them?! Obviously, I know I have to. It's my debt and I have to pay it, but I feel these charges are unfair.
All my debts are to catalougues.
Do I just have to accept that I messed up big time and now have to pay for it or is there any way I can bring down these charges?
At this rate I will never get my debts cleared.
Thanks
S

Unfortunately they can continue to just add charges etc :( - you can keep requesting that they stop them but they don't have to.
Other people have stopped paying creditors and waited for them to send it to a debt collector who may be more accomodating ( I would not necessarily recommend this), you could also also try saving up for a full and final settlement or they may eventually get the picture and realise you can't pay any more, you can also try putting a complaint in to them highlighting the unfair relationship, the fact you have sought help from a free charity etc, see whether they suggest if you have problems you contact a debt charity or they will treat you sympathetically in their literature and point this out to them. If you receive an unhelpful response you can then probably complain to the ombudsman, you could also investigate the legality of their paperwork and if it falls short point out to them that without the paperwork they can't enforce the debt/charge interest so they'd better accept your offer.
    Hopefully something there will help.
