Dad leaving for Dubai, farewell party in need of ideas!

Hi All,

I hope you an help me for some inspriartion... usually pretty good at these things but as it's my own Dad I think Ive come to a halt.

My dad is relocating on his own to Dubai for two years for work, we are holding a leaving party in a pub of which there is a sectioned off area for us. On Fri 27th Aug, so bit of time..

Looking for ideas ie) " leave a memory notes " - but how would I do this and how would it be set up, video camera stuff - but then do not want anyone lumbered with a camera all night, decorations etc at low cost or things that can be made. I can be pretty creative, just looking for some expert help form you love's if you can?

Could you set up a 'Big Brother diary room' style area with a camera? Maybe leave instructions on how to use the camera?
