Fine hair - mousse serum or spray

My hair seems finer than ever and has gone dull dry and flat. Which product is best to use.

I have very fine hair, and use Tigi Bed Head Superstar conditioner for 'massive hair'. They do a shampoo as well. It smells lovely, like strawberries, and leaves my hair feeling light and biuncy, with lots of volume but no heaviness.

I also use the TIGI 'Ego Boost' serum, which is supposed to be for split ends, but I find it makes my hair feel bouncy without any heaviness. I don't like the smell of the Ego Boost though, so my hairdresser showed me how to mix it with TIGI 'Girl Toys', or another TIGI serum which is a bight blue serum (can't remebmer the name now, but it smells citrussy). All you do is squirt a bit of each into your palm and mix them before scrunching them gently onto your hair. They work great.

Might be worth going into a hairdresser that uses TIGI and ask their advice - they are alswyas keen to sell the products so they may let you test a bit of the ones they have open and are using. Then order it from Ebay, as it's usually cheaper!

Hi, thanks for that. Is Tigi very scented as I do have a sensitive scalp? The thing is my hair is dry at the ends but very fine and seems even finer at the moment and out of condition. I am wasting money on products trying to get it right. About a year ago I could just use a normal shampoo, conditioner and no other products and it seemed fine but now I feel I need something else.

Hi again, I’ve just miraculously found some Tigi Superstar mini tubes in a store in town at lunchtime. I’ve bought the shampoo first just to see what its like and if it irritates me. It was only £3.00 so I won’t be losing much if it doesn’t suit me.

Good find! Hope it works for you - let us know how you get on.

Hi, I tried the shampoo yesterday and it has made my head itch and my hair feel quite dry but I am wondering if any products will do this anyway for a while with me being hormonal.
  • I also have fine hair (cut short). I don't use any conditioner, but do use a clay product to give some fullness and definition. Using 'a-head' clay from Tecni.art at the moment (got it from the hairdressers). Not cheap, but you only need a very small amount combed through your hair with fingers. Smells like liquorice and doesn't make my hair "heavy" like mousse.
    Normal people worry me.
  • I find serum can make my hair look flatter :)
