Sorry to micturate on your cornflakes, so to speak.
Since we were transported to Europe, they're not allowed to call them Meat & Potato pies anymore, they're now Potato & Meat pies as they contain more potato than meat.

My second choice, after the all conquering Hollands of Baxenden Potato & Meat pie ofcourse, is the highly localised Potato and Meat pastie available from "Ye old Pastie shop" in Bolton, be prepared to queue.
On a slight tangent I'd be highly pleased and forever grateful if somebody could furnish me with an mp3 of the mighty "Bob Williamson" singing "Holland's Meat Pies".
:smileyhea :grinheartJust for one moment, thought I'd found my way.0 -

My mate who comes from Guernsey used to live with me here in Lancashire for a couple of years then she returned home. Now the first thing she goes to buy when she visits is Pies cos' she's missed them so much.
In Wigan the town centre pie shops give 2 for 1 on match days :j0 -

I've moved to hampshire from Lancashire and not only do I suffer from homesickness for hills and my mums homemade spud pie but can't live half as cheaply down here. Don't know if its because I don't know where all the bargain shops are ( i particularly miss a couple in Atherton for M&S stuff ) or perhaps they dont exist down here .
Still I'm doing my best to promote Lancashire for the unitiated and do bring supplies back whenever I pop home for a visit. God how I hate the M6 though.
