if there was I missed it, but it would make sense I suppose to deal with the grease.

doddsyWe must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

Yes there was vinegar in it.
I think Anthea would be good if she did a revisit (kind of a la Kim and Aggie)
I think most people can blitz a house in a fortnight (even I can). It's the keeping it going day to day, week to week, month to month ...... that I find hard and often soul destroying.
Having said that I do love the show - much to DHs disappointment"You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
my hubby and i said the same thing. a re-visit would be fantastic.
could anyone tell me please where i can buy soap flakes ?0 -

Anthea Turner Perfect Housewife homepage at the bbc :
http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/tv/perfect_housewife/series2/index.shtml
There is a quiz there as well, in the series one part, as to whether you are the perfect housewife or not :rotfl: Apparently, and I quote the site here, I am :Gleaming Queen
Practically perfect! Your household is spotless and pristine with not a cushion out of place or a bed unmade. But you'll never be as perfect as Anthea! Watch the programme to see how other housewives and househusbands strive to make their house the perfect home.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

And wasn't he a miserable git? Whinged and whined about the fact that she never did a thing - she worked the same hours he did, and cleaned their hair salon, yet was expected to get home and cook and clean while he sat on his backside! House looked lovely when finished, but judging by the whinging he was still doing when cleaning that patio door, I'd lay odds that the rota won't be kept up, and he'll be the one giving the example to the kids.jcr16 wrote:could anyone tell me please where i can buy soap flakes ?
Should be fairly easy to find. If you can't get an own-brand one, look for Lux.0 -
I caught part of the show last night just as she said how to fold fitted sheets. Could someone tell me how to do this. I can never do it or iron them successfully0

Quite right. How are you suppossed (sp?) to iron fitted sheets?
Being a bloke, when it comes out the washing machine i'll hang it over the
door to dry.
Then after a couple of days throw it in the furthest corner of the bedroom so i dont trip over it.
Then after a couple of weeks remember that i have a clean sheet somewhere.
And i find it and its CREASED damn it.
After sitting down for a fag and a think i realise that this thing needs ironing.
So i put it on the bed anyway and think the body heat will sort that out.
I mean, how are you gonna get it flat on that weedy ironing board.NURSE: "Shouldn't it be sterilized, doctor?"
DR. BENWAY: "Very likely but there's no time."0
