Payplan. How long does it all take?

Hi everyone
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of Payplan? Have paid them 2 lots of money (2 months) and they have paid this out to my creditors (have checked the statements). How long will it be until my creditors stop contacting me? Feeling bit stressed about it all as they keep telling me my outstanding arrears need to be paid. Payplan have told me not to pay any money directly to my creditors.
Thanx

If your creditors are harrassing you, you could try writing to them and asking them to only contact you in writing in future (I believe you have the right to do this). Haven't any experience of Payplan personally but I know they are recommended by quite a lot of folks on here. Hope you get it sorted soon so you can have some peace!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

It can take time, but you must be paitent. Tell your creditors that you have entered into a DMP with them and give them you reference number. Keep your statements alet payplan know the up to date balances (either send them in the post or email a scanned copy - this is quicker). The amount of time it takes for it all to be up and running can cary greatly from person to person. For example, I had 12 creditors that had to be dealt with and the majority of them accepted straight away and if you don't know, I;ve been away for 3 months and 2 of the 3 remaining creditors have accepted the offers of payment with only one to go. I started in Mar so 6 months down the line, I only have one to go which happens to be my previous bak=nk with which I had an overdraft. Now your key from here is to: 1. DOnt give up hope, 2. Never stop asking payplan questions, 3. Keep on this website and I guarantee most if not all of your questions will be answered here and you will feel much better for it. Welcome.

Hi
I am just one month ahead of you, and am still getting stroppy letters and phone calls about the arrears. Payplan have been good at getting interest stopped etc...
One fly in ointment is Lloyds TSB who have told me they have rejected the payment offer and then offered me a loan. Back in May when finances went belly up I was refused a basic bank account by two banks before getting one so this was a surprise.
Payplan have advised me to politely refuse loan offers and have also told me not to pay creditors direct. Have found all their advice to be good so far. One thing they did tell me is that it can take months to get agreements from all parties.Proud to have dealt with my debts, became debt free on 03/11/2011. Repaid £54,723.41 LBM May 2006.

I am 3 months into my DMP and things have improved, with only HSBC still ringing. Even MBNA have accepted my offer and stopped interest. I promise it will improve.Julie

I am 2 months into my DMP with Payplan.
I have 10 creditors with only 2 rejecting my repayment offer, lloyds TSB ( my former bank of 27years ) and Barclaycard.
I now only seem get the occasional phone call, maybe one every couple of days, whereas 3 weeks ago I was receiving 6-8 a day from 8.00am to 8.30 pm.
The calls do gradually become less. Just keep patient, count to 10 and breathe deeply when the phone rings0 -
My calls stopped after a couple of months, but started all over again around the 6 month mark. Apparently that is normal. Depending on my mood, I either explain politely that I am with Payplan or I refuse to answer the initial security questions and then they can't proceed with the call. They do try it on, though, - claiming that Payplan hasn't contacted them and nonsense like that.0
