Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track. We colour code the results as below:

Green - within budget
Red - overbudget
Purple - zero spend
Yellow - made money over the week

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.action-smiley-033.gif

    Afternoon all

Apologies for being incommunicado at the end of last week as my laptop charger make strange noises then stopped working so I could not get on the net other than from my phone which is ok to look at stuff but not to update posts etc.

I made it for £15 last week so I was green. This month is going well so far as I am on budget for the first time in what seems like forever and I also lost 1.5lbs this week :j:j:j

I am going for £54.50 next week as I have £4.50 in my purse and I am going to Edinburgh on Tuesday for dinner with a friend and then maybe a show at the fringe. So need enough to cover this.

I am also going there next Saturday with OH but I am looking at a lot of the free shows so should be a cheap day out but this will come out of my weekend budget.

Welcome to the newbies and congrats to the greens.

    Hi all,

I used to take part in this challenge a while back but slipped off the wagon in a big way. Having seen my available funds for the month or lack thereof, I need to keep a tight check on what my money is doing.

So if you'll have me back, can I be put down for £20 this week too? xxx

    Morning all.

Had a suitably bad start to this week spending £10.08 between Sunday and Monday due to socialising. Today however is going to be better, I have lunch with me and am swimming tonight to make use of my gym membership. I even found 20p on the floor yesterday which means I can have a locker without it affecting my NSD!

Have a good week everyone xx
