:grouphug: stitchy, I think you need a dodgy looking group hug :grouphug: or a :coffee:
Is that your latest corset btw? Very niceWas it for a wedding or something? Looks v posh.
I was going to ask you about one of your 101 things - how did you get on with making soap? I got a book about making candles for Crimbo and some of the soap making kits are the same moulds etc. Wonder if I could dabble...0 -
Yes it is my latest corset, but it's actually nicer than the awful photo. I'm especially pleased with it as I designed the pattern myself; until now I've used the ones from the sewing school. I just wanted a really fancy one, not for any special occasion, just a little treat really
The first batch of soap was a disaster, but I'm going to try again in a couple of weeks. This time I'll try the cold-pressed soap recipe on the down-to-earth website as it seems pretty foolproof! http://down---to---earth.blogspot.com/2007/07/how-to-make-cold-pressed-soap.html

Also downloaded Emma onto my kindle for free (download from Project Gutenberg website :T:T:T) so I can get that read soon.
Also...off topic and nowt to do with my 101 list but downloaded some more free books - How to live on 24 hours a day by Arnold Bennett :rotfl:liked the name :rotfl:and Thrift by Samuel Smiles - two old books that still ring true :cool:0 -

- its a wonderful life
- true grit
- anchors aweigh
- nosferatu

perni I would def recommend 12 angy men & the guns of N but I have found the others to be a bit lame actually. I've watched rear window before when I was at uni in a feminism course I was doing focusing on the symbolism of the woman and freuds theories on our voyeristic nature (all ppl I mean rather than women) blah blah blah! They'd definately not win any oscars if they were brought out now! Really looking forward t its a wonderful life as everyone who has seen it has recommended it :T (we're thinking anchors aweigh is bound to be a load of poo on a rusty shovel :rotfl:)DF as at 30/12/16

That's a shame that they've not dated well, but hey at least you're getting there with your list & can say you gave them a go! Hopefully the rest will surprise you
Littlekel - That sounds lovely, I wish I'd put go star gazing on my list now, next time...Good luck with the rest of your veggie/no sweet challenge!
