    my wife bought me a good rice cooker ,tried it once ,prefer medium pyrex casserole bowl ,1 mug rice 1 1/2 mug boiling water , cover with cling [4 punctures] 2min on high on microwave ,leave a few minutes and do another 2 min ,then 1 min.
    I space out while doing stir fry allways ok and onlt 1 bowl to wash.
    also slow cooker on low,4oz rice ,4oz sugar ,2pints full milk ,5 hours and great rice pudding,.....butter bowl before use and it cleans easy.
