Competition entry clubs??

Hi,

On a well known home shopping channel they are advertising membership of a competition entry club (maybe service is a better word for it) that cost £8.99 per month and it promises to enter you in many many competitions. I know the fun part in entering competitions is the actual "sending it in" part, however this service seems to enter you into hundreds of competitions which would be practically impossible to do by myself in terms of limits on my time. Even if someone was to put a value on their own time that is roughly the same as 2 hours pay at minimum wage (after tax) so to pay someone to enter loads more competitions than I could manage in 2 hours seems worth it? Or am I missing something here?

Anyone had experience of these clubs?

Hi notgoodwithmoney,

I have never heard of this service. However, I'd be reluctant to use it, as I only enter competitions for things that I actually want to win and I would think that by getting someone else to do it for you, you lose control of what prizes you are trying to win. This is just my take on it, although I definately would not pay! Anyhow, someone who knows more about this than me should hopefully be along soon.

If you and thousands of others are entered in the same competition by this company then it wont really be of much benefit to you as in most competitions there is only one worth while prize , you may find hundreds of junk mail offers come through your door , it sounds to me its like any other get rich quick scheme , a waste of money .

I agree, sounds like a get rich scheme the business is running.

I agree to all the junk you would get as well, you don't though even know if they are really entering you and how many competitions you are entering either.

I would stay away from such a system.
