Child has been living with NRP - what next steps?

A PWC gets child support via the CSA for 2 children. The case is on the old scheme (CS 1).
1 child has been living with the NRP since May this year. The child has not said they intend to return to the PWC (they had a massive fall-out and has not been back since).
At what point should the PWC tell the CSA that a child has not been living with them?
Is the PWC legally obligated to inform the CSA and CB office? If so, when should the PWC have informed them?
The NRP has no arrears and has continued to pay CSA as normal.
Oh, PWC & NRP do not have a good relationship.

SEPT 2008 - The CSA is responsible for collecting money in 553,800 out of 1,247,100 cases. In 442,000 of these cases the Resident Parent is on Benefits and so apart from £10 each, the money paid by each Non-Resident Parent goes to the Government and not the Resident Parent. The CSA collected £68.6m. Is the Govt. erasing child proverty? You decide!

Hi, I don't know about the legal situation, but the PWC should have told the CSA as soon as the child went to live with NRP, other wise they are claiming under false pretenses for 2 children when only one lives there. Especially if NRP is keeping his/her end up.0

The child benefit should be notified straight away - but there is some leeway as to when it would switch, up to 8 weeks - so certainly by now! However, to trigger this, you need to put in the claim for your child. Also, notify the CSA as soon as the child benefit is awarded.0

IME The csa do not do anything if someone fails in their obligations to inform them anyway, so I'm afraid it will probably down to you. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Thanks everyone.
I didn't realise that the NRP had to do it - thought it was the PWC.
The PWC is going to hit the roof when the authorities get in touch {sigh}SEPT 2008 - The CSA is responsible for collecting money in 553,800 out of 1,247,100 cases. The NRP is entitled to claim the CB and CTC and get a reduction in child support. *SIGH*

Can I just stick my nose in and say to you to be careful that your child isn't put in the middle of it all. Keep the money side of things separate from them.0
