CSA arrears - how does it work?

Hello just a quick question.
My partner has a daughter and has paid weekly since she was born, and also paid money up front. In June the mother shut the bank account down and stopped us seeing the daughter, passing a message on via facebook status saying to stick the money up your !!!!. (We don't go on fb by the way we got told and have seen the printed off evidence).
We opened up a savings account and continued to put the money into the account.
We were in court last Friday for access, when the new bank details were passed over. She associates contact with money.
What we want to know, is if she went to the csa, can she or they ask for arrears to when the baby was born? even though his has been paid every week. If she goes to the csa she will lose out as we have overpaid by almost a hundred pound a month, however what we want to do now is pay her what she is entitled to, as worked out on the csa calculator and put some money into the baby's savings account, as we know all the money is not spent on the baby. We are just unclear and have had confliciting advise, somebody said they can only get csa from when she claims it, others have said it can be backdated to birth? We have paid it into her bank account every week and have receipts to prove it.
Thanks in advance

CSA will only backdate any monies due, to the date that the Mother contacted the CSA.
This is the date any assessment/monies will be enforced from0 -
Thanks for that bdt1 - we don't think she will go, but when she sees her money has been reduced she might, but she won't benefit anyway as this is the amount we will pay based on their calculator. We just want to do the right thing.
Much appreciated.0 -
From now on be cautious about how you pay her, as if she is threatening to go to CSA and has been in contact with them, then says she has a private agreement with you, you need to be able to prove that any money you give her is 'child maintenance' for child named **** *******.
If any monies are tansferred, make sure you state this is a payment from Mr ****** *********** national insurance/CSA reference numer **********, to Miss ******* ********, for £****, as monthly child support for our child ******** ********.. Wherever possible get her to sign to say she has received money as specifically child maintenance.
Know it's a bit of a faff on, but if not this could come back and bite you, many folk on here have paid maintenance for years, only for the PWC to then deny amy money was handed over, or the money was not paid as child support0 -

Sorry but if you take into account paying for accomodation, utilities, council tax and so on, it is likely that it will be.
I hope you are keeping the printed page from FB?? May be useful later. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Thanks again for your comments. Yes the fb prints are with the solicitor, along with many others.
As long as we know where we stand.
