This is supposed to be for young girls who are new to tampax so they are for a light flow.

  • Just ordered mine.... Thank You :)
  • I use a moon cup - I've saved so much money!!!!

I even got mine half price at £10!!! (back in feb)

It sounds gross, but it is enviromentally friendly and if everyone used one it would make such a difference to the world...

Worth looking at this girls... I used to spend up to £10 a month on sanitary products. Now and then i need the odd one, but the freebies cover that, but I believe i've saved at least £50 this year.

I've been after a mooncup for ages, but not long having a baby I have to wait.
I have a friend who is usually horrified by this type of thing, but as she works for Boots, they started to sell them and so tried one in the aid of research and she loves it, so is now selling them to everyone!

Will try for freebies too though as in general I will use those.

  • All this talk of 'mooncup' has even made me have a look at them despite my initial horror! Not purchased yet but curious enough to have a look.......
  • I heard of the mooncup a couple of years ago and have always been intrigued. There's been one main thing that had bothered me - perhaps any mooncup users can clarify. Is it, erm, messy to empty? It says it is sealed in place, so i have terrible visions, of releasing it once it's full

Sorry if i have grossed ppl out with that comment!! I've never met anyone that uses it, so haven't been able to ask before.
  • LoL at above comment, I find it cute that you were brave enough to ask...

I work for the water board, and believe me, if anything could make our sewer-filled-day easier it would be the un-invention of tampons, cottonbuds and nappy-wipes!!! (Oh, and so called "flushable" toilet wipes... Ummm, really. They're NOT!)

    LoL
  • I have used a moon cup for around 8 months now and swear by it.
They dont leak if you get it in the right position and it doesnt actually fill up (as gross as it sounds you can see how much you lose and it isnt really that much) You empty it a few times a day depending on how heavy you are.
If you are worried about leaks you can buy washable pantie liners or make your own - again saving money.
I definately recomend it to you all!

  • Oh and as an after thought - tampons and sanitary towels are packed full of chemicals! I feel better knowing that i am not putting any more unneccesary toxins into my body!
