How to tie espadrilles?

Hi all,
I was wondering if you fashionistas could help me with a very blonde problem?
I've bought a pair of these espadrilles, however I can't seem to work out how best to tie them. The rope is very soft, and they come loose within moments of tying them on.
Bows or knots? At the front or the side? Any other tips?
Many thanks!!

I tie them like ballet pointe shoes:
One tight half-knot at the bottom, then criss-cross them up and around your calf with a bow at the top.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
The above is right.
Also try putting some sort of wax or chalk on the knot just before you tie to help it stay tied up.
If your finding the ribbon or tie stretches with use then you could try stitching or ironing (with hem liner to make it stick and then a few stitches to secure) some non-stretch cotton ribbon (habadasharys) to prevent any stretch.0 -
Thanks both!! I'll give that a go
