Nintendo WII pre order only £180

Has anyone who pre-ordered from Comet had any sort of confirmation yet of when (if?) their console will be delivered? I ordered on 09/11/06 and the last email I had was the pre-order terms and conditions on 27/11/06.

Just recd the following email from Toys R US


"Thank you for pre-ordering your Nintendo Wii with Toys R Us.

This ground breaking video games system is launched this Friday 8th December and toysrus.co.uk will be despatching all pre-orders which we aim to be delivered between 8am and 6pm on Friday. (Deliveries to Northern Ireland and remote areas may take longer).

To ensure your order is processed and delivered on time, please ensure that there are sufficient funds in your account from Wednesday 6th December. Please note that if we are unable to process payment at this stage, your order will be cancelled."

So I don't think they have actually been dispatched yet, unless you know different.

Wii at Woolies is still on Pre-order status I doubt I'll get mine on launch day or even a week after. They take years to reply to messages aswell. :mad:

Has anybody had their call from Argos yet?

redmoorphil, I havn't but I call them daily to ask them if its going to arrive on the 8th. Unforutanly my gf now has to go to Uni till 1pm, and the delivery window is 7am till 6pm (!) so its sods law that i'll miss it. They refuse to let me change the delivery address and FYI the courier will be Home Delivery Network whcih I know that JD Williams uses.

Now I am worried!
They didn't get my address correct in the store as it wasn't on their system.
They actually missed the street out! The guy said I could sort it out when they call me.
Might have to make a call tomorrow.

I went to Currys today and was encouraged to pre order. I was told I would get it before xmas or my £20 deposit back. Didn`t trust him though as when i pushed him he hadn`t a clue if Currys were aware how many they are getting in compared to orders.
It may be worth a try if you are not too bothered about having it for Xmas day

I ordered mine from Currys last month and received a phone call the next day. The woman said she would "push the order through". I haven't heard since. I haven't paid a penny yet (no deposit). The website is quite odd. The Wii was available then a few days after I ordered they took the "ADD TO BASKET" icon off. A few days ago it came back online (able to order but specifically says that it is out of stock) and now it's off again.
