Agree with OP by the way, people these days are very quick to complain:o, but not nearly as many put the same effort into praising good service...and we should!

That's the one I just love that concept.

Well he died at the end, and life does work like that.

It's so true - I work in a customer facing role too and often have to take the brunt of a customer's bad day or general frustration in life. If we receive any written comments from customers, good or bad, they're taken very seriously and we receive gift vouchers for positive comments, and a lot of !!!! kicking and possible disciplinary action if they're negative. Customers rarely acknowledge good service unless they're asked the specific question. Since working 'on the front' line, I've tended not to miss an opportunity to praise good service when I receive it, too.Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)

I saw this film too and thought the concept was a good idea. It was called "Pay it Forward"
During a bad time in my life someone helped me in a small way which made such a difference at the time so i try and make a difference by doing small things for others now. Sometimes just a kind word is enough to make someones day.

Not sure what the title of the film is, I think it has Kevin Spacey in it.
I know it's a bit cheesy but the concept and the ending of that film always brings me a small lump in the throat and a tear to the eye. ( and I am a 33 old, big, bloke )0 -

Gawd, what a nauseating, do-gooding little creep that kid sounds like. If he acted like that round me I'd clip his ear, the saccharine little sucky-a55 goody-goody.0
