****Welcome one and all to the Weekend Chat 7&8 August*****

Guess who forgot to turn off the alarm clock...? Yup, DH ;)

Am now watching my 1.234p/hr electricity spend on my owl and hoping the weather brightens up as the weekend plan is to hoover inside DH's car and remove and re-cover the seats, ready for a car show next weekend (want to make new friends and look good) :o

Also lots of washing to do and better clean the kitchen before I poison us :D

Oh, and also need to start packing for camping in beloved new trailer tent next weekend. AM hoping weather is not wet as I wanted to look after it.

What is everyone else doing this weekend?

    Morning all

Katsu - What sort of car is it that you're taking to the show?

Sammy - Hope C is on the mend soon.

Watched 2012 last night - I was quite impressed, I know lots of people have knocked it but we enjoyed it.

Nothing planned for today (story of my life at the moment) still not feeling up to doing anything so hope the antibiotics kick in fast....I feel as if I'm wasting DD's summer holidays (although they're more than happy to go out with friends or lay in bed all day).

Off to check the banks and doing some creative accounting for the rest of the month.

Pooky-I thought it was a pretty pants movie but if I hadn't paid to see it I would have probably enjoyed it more, lol!

    Sammy-hope C is feeling better.

    Doomcow-Welcome back x

    Katsu-enjoy your weekend!

Put your jaws back! I do occasionally venture out of bed before 10am. :rotfl: In fact, I've been up since 8am. Now that's early for me. I'm slowly but surely working through my list of jobs for today, next is to try and fix the stupid seatbelt on my car, which locked up the other night. I'm tempted to go back to the old ones, these new, modern ones are more trouble than they're worth. :D If that doesn't work, I'll tie myself to the seat with the wire for my Sat Nav and drive very slowly to the garage. Thankfully, they're open on Sats and if I wait, they should get a move on. They don't want me cluttering up their waiting room all day. :D Talk soon. *whoosh* :rotfl:

am going to be perky and cheerful today despite my lack of sleep. I will not nap today instead I will go to bed early and actually sleep tonight!

I liked 2012 I think (big space ship things? people sneaking on? can't actually remember much, apart from that poor pilot)

The Scissors Sisters have a special on channel four at the moment, I love them! Mind you the video is a bit much for this time of the morning!

big plans for today.................Decluttering if it kills me which given the state of my room it may well do.

Katsu I love your truck! I used to date a guy who drove a massive truck, fond memories!

    see you all later

  • I'm off to the post office in a minute to post secret packets of food country wide then go to a charity event in town. I am going to TRY and work the nerve up and see if I can offer myself up to some hairdressers to see if they will have me as an apprentice/work expreience.

    Cacking myself really!

Today as well, I am going to make pavolovas-never done it before, wish me luck!

  • Bunny, who wouldn't want in you their Hairdressers? You are brilliant with people and really know how to put someone at their ease. It will happen.

and your Pavolovas will rise too!
