Tesco website Camera + Printer bundle mistake

I recently ordered "Kodak camera + printer bundle" as described on Tesco's website. This morning I only received a camera, even though the invoice still stated a printer as well. Their customer services advised me that the printer had been mistakenly included with the camera and someone will call me later.
Can I still expect them to send me the printer?

I would hope so. It works like this.
They placed the product on their site. (Offer to treat).
You ordered the goods. (They could have cancelled the order).
They accepted your order by supplying part of the goods. A contract was made.
They owe you the remainder.
But then I am no legal expert.0 -
Just had a call from Tescos and they are refusing to send me the printer, the main reason being that it was a 'data error' and they don't actually have the bundle in stock. They've offered me a refund, but I told them I still want the printer and am prepared to wait until it is in stock.
now awaiting another call back........0 -
Had the call back.....
basically, all they can offer me is a refund on the camera they sent me and when they repost the bundle on the website at the new price, I have to order it, pay the full price and they will refund me the difference afterwards.
Not happy as, the camera was a present for someone this weekend, they're refusing to send a printer seperately as they don't list the printer as an individual item, they say this is the only option they can offer me.
Is there anything else I can do?0 -
Ring them back and mention Watchdog...............;)
As for 'they're refusing to send a printer separately as they don't list the printer as an individual item' - tell them that's their problem, not yours. As stated by a previous poster, they had the opportunity to cancel the order, in line with their T&Cs, but didn't take that option. They are now legally obliged to honour the offer...............they're not saying that they don't have one, I notice. They're wriggling, ring them back and GET TOUGH!! :eek:I only exist in my own mind - if you can see, hear or read me, you are a product of my imagination.0 -
I did get what I thought was 'tough' with them and they insisted that was the only offer they could make.
Whats next? What can I actually threaten them with?0
