Hi
I am helping my SIL claim back all her charges and fees etc. I have sent 2 of the letters suggested and her charges total about £2300:eek:  ....we have had a letter back this morning stating that they do not agree with the reasons etc but have offered £1000 as a full and final settlement goodwill gesture without admitting liability etc.
My SIL wants to accept, but I dont! She is crap with money and can only see the £££££ signs. I think she should fight and ask for the full amount.
What should I do next? Im not very well today and know the answers are here somewhere on the website, but if someone could point me in the right direction...i would be very greatful:D
Thanks

Do you think that Barclays would accept your first 'full and final' offer if the boot were on the other foot?I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Don't accept anything less than you are claiming for!!!! The fact that Barclays have made an offer means that they know they don't have a leg to stand on. They don't want to go to court so you need to set your claim in motion now and they will cave in before you are due to go to court.

keep going! It is her money and worth the extra wait of a few weeks/months. She will regret it at some point if she doesn't keep fighting.0
