I've seen these on sale in Ikea, Tescos and the like and I thought about having them for our table centrepieces? We're getting married in November and I'm getting wound up as I know plants etc are seasonal....
I'm sure they're not grown and flowering in UK in November
but will I still be able to buy them easily/cheaply?

Yes they are on sale all year.
They last for months as well.
When the flowers finish you cut the stem back and put them out of the way watering them occasionally and then after about six months they flower again.GC Jan £318/£350, Feb £221.84/£300, Mar £200.00/£250 Apr £201.05/£200 May £199.61/£200 June £17.25/£200

Thank you so much for your response. I might do this as an MSE table centre... This way they will last and I can give them to special people on the day (and save the cost of presents!)I love surprises!0

BUT........beware of leaving them anywhere in a draught......they are extremely vulnerable to cold!! (I learnt the hard way!)
You might find some artificial ones in Dunelm or similar too?Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0 -

Ive had one from Ikea and one from Tesco
The Ikea (chapest one) has just flowered again. This is the third time its flowered since we got it about 18 months ago.
The tesco one died after the flowers fell off and had to be chucked."Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye" - Miss Piggy0 -
i work in a certain place(see later) where i saw they had lots in stock that needed to be reduced as they were coming upto their sell by date, this was last september and its still got flowers!! never water from the top always put some in the bottom of their recepticle, mines on my kitchen windowsill which is shaded till about 4pm.in the smaller tesco(;)) stores they have them at the moment, you could go and check out the dates then go back on that day to get some bargains, mine was £1.50 with a starting price of £10
i really can not believe its still going as i only have to look at plants and they die, i got a cala lily in the same circumstance a couple of months ago and that threatened to kamkazi off the mantlepeice!!I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
