Started to read a book and within the first chapter the person descirbed themselves as unable to commit to' grown up life', instead of supporting the family, he continues to lead a life where his priorities are all wrong.... i suddenly thought of myself....
want to do the right thing and support my family, however, I still buy crap, still rake up c/c bill and the income I have coming in monthly is getting eaten up with minum payments and loans etc instead of saving up for my kids futures.
Need advice- what should I do????????????????
I want to clear of my creditcards. I currently have two. One on a low interest(5.5 lifetime) repayment for the balance of £2211.43. I have just moved £736 to a nought percentage interest rate untill May 2011. I have shares I can sell, which I reckin will clear the second credit card bill, possibly may have £100 still on it depends on share price. Do i sell my shares ( the only savings I have) and clear of second card ASAP. OR Do I pay the credit card of monthly and clear it by May 2011 and keep my shares????????????

i vote for the second option pay cc by may 2011 if possible. sell shares then if not paid off.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Hi little miss troubled,
This is a question that only you can answer really, as it does sound like you'd quite like to keep the shares as a nest egg for later. If you can clear the £736 by the end of the interest free period in May 2011 this is good. It depends really if you are happy paying the 5.5% for the life of the debt on the other card, which is quite a low interest rate compared to some cards. As I said, the decision is entirely up to you.
Good luck in whatever you decideIf you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.
£2 savings jar £300:D
Total credit card debts £1250:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: - Will I ever learn!!0 -
debts not really going anywhere as I will still have the huge balance on the first card, tried to merge the full balance onto just one card at 0% but Amazon wouldnt increase limit, tbh probably a good thing!!!. I should have maybe added that I also currently paying a loan but it is looking after itself and hopefully will be clear by 2014!!!! Still not 100% so I think for now I will aim to clear £736 ASAP then take it from there. I probably would be able to pay it off within a few months tbh but Xmas and Birthday have to take priority Im afraid!!0
