I think Anne Milton could see the positive advantages in being labled the 2nd coming of Thatcher, Cameron on the other hand would not want that icon7.gif
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher

What I pointed out was that he's pigging at the trough - which is rather hypocritical for a self-styled 'socialist' and leader of 'the people's party.

I wonder what Labour would do if they got back in?
It's perhaps a more interesting question than why they lost.

The great Labour plan during the noughties seemed to be based on an expanded public sector providing an ever expansive range of services, accompanied with borrowing to refresh schools and hospitals. For a while, it looked like the finance sector was a great cash cow able to fund this program through tax receipts.

The credit crunch has cast a shadow over this old funding model though.

So what could Labour do differently if they were in power?

Sod all, in my view. If Millibands and Balls and co didn't have the answers during boom time, why should they have the answers now?

How could the Unions let Labour proceed with an austerity program without crying foul? They have no chance.

Oh good question, that'll put the cat amongst the pigeons....:D

FWIW All of Labours candidates are tainted, soiled goods...They were all in positions of power ,knowing that the writing was on the wall and yet none of them distanced themselves from Broon....Diane Abbott was the only maverick ,if you could call her that but for me she lost all credability when she told us all that state schools were the backbone of our society whilst sending her kids to private school....................b1tch......

Amazes me ,the blind faith some have on this forum that Labour are still the party of the people and the Tories are toffs..........Marklv over to you...........

Even by your standards that was a feeble response, Chucky. It had absolutely nothing to do with my comment.

You're really going to have to up your game if you want to stay the forum's self-appointed milk monitor.
