5th birthdays for us usually involve mcdonalds parties. alternatively if she is able to you could do something like a cincema party. my eldest for his birthday has been to the cinema & then mcdonalds with 5 friends for the last 3 years & it only costs us £60ish. I say only but its a lot cheaper than most parties.
    hope that helps

We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

  • what about Jungle Kids? Birkhill, or the beefeater / brewsters at Monifieth?

This is where we had our dd's 5th birthday party, around 6 pounds a head, if you have them organise it.Over 10 kids and you get a free birthday cake, and goodie bags are supplied. By the time you pay them into the fun factory and buy them a meal it would be about the same price.

We put a twist on it by inviting girls to wear their favourite dress-up costume and had spares with us for those who didn't bring one, it made it feel a bit more special.

The parents of the kids can head to Dobbies for a coffee and a wander round the Angus Gateway while they wait too.You must stay with the birthday girl.:j

  • I don't know if it's too late, but there's a good playcentre in Arbroath, Jumping Joeys, I think their parties are £7.95 a head
