Halifax Personal Loan

Hi Guys
Anyone had experience with dealing with the Halifax and a personal loan and getting them to accept a DMP. We have a number of debts mostly credit cards but also a loan and overdraft with the Halifax. We are just about to go down the DMP route and it would be good to hear from anyone who is on a DMP with them.

My own DMP is through CCCS and I did find Halifax one of the hardest to get through to. Typical large organisation who dont speak to each other. I've been on DMP for 5 yrs now with them - 2 CC's and 1 overdraft. Every so often I get the Blair Oliver Scott lettes and stuff about overdraft but you just need to call them and keep em straight. Remember the debts are your to deal with, it is not the responsibility of the DMP provider.
Until 6 months ago I even worked for them and used to get collections calls on my work mobile!!
Dont worry - they can 'like it or lump it' - only thing is they're not very good at stopping interest or charges like some other creditors.
Hope this helps, keep yer head down and 'enjoy' the slight relief from creditors. Stand tough!0 -
I have a CC and OD with them. They have stopped charges on the OD, but keep putting me on this "3 month plan" for my CC when they reduce interest. They they whack it back on like there's no tomorrow. However creditors can differ to each person.
Good luck with everything! There is a light at the end of the tunnel.....I just need to find the switch.0
