  • You can make muesli with water (or soy milk yuk) and grated apple..... this is how my DH and DD have it....
    Regards
  • Only problem with no dairy in the diet (ie whaterever they eat for brekki as a teen is better than nothing!!!) is that the calcium laid down in the teen growing years, is vital to stop osterperosis in later life as much harder to replenish as an adult.

So my tuppance worth would be get a good quality calcium supplement and a multiviamin for added coverage perferably taken at apart to encourage better absorbtion
  • How about porridge with water instead of milk?

Water has calcium in it as long as you don't filter it. And porridge is much better that way;)

Exactly becaus ethe best excuse for a pre-teen NOT to do something is that their parents want them to do it. The more you push this one the harder it will get.

How about dry cereal in a pot? I used to have dry cereal on guide camp because the milk was weird :rotfl: I still could munch on dry cereal. But then I'm a bit weird and like dry crackers too.

I also had a friend whose sister always had apple juice on her cereal. Not to my taste but another option.

Would he eat a banana for breakfast? They are quite slow release?

HM flapjacks must be better than nothing! Hope you manage to find a solution...
