CCCS Vs Payplan

Hi everyone, This is my first post !

Ive been scouring MSE and spoken to Payplan and CCCS and they have both recommended a DMP.

The question is... which one do I use ?

I like the idea that CCCS is popular with creditors however Payplan appoint someone to be like a case manager and look after you. They seem very human as an organisation whereas CCCS is all online.

Can anyone offer me any guidance ?

Thanks in advance

Chris

    They're both good, Chris.

If you feel comfortable with Payplan and like their proposal, go with them

    Hi Chris

Just to let you know that CCCS do telephone appointments as well as online advice. We also have a client support team who give you ongoing support after your appointment.
The free helpline number is 0800 138 1111.
Both CCCS and Payplan give free advice, so at least you will not be paying any fees, and any surplus money you do have will be going towards clearing your debts quickly!!

    Good luck! :)

    Regards
    Sue

  • Hi,
I've missed July's payment to CCCS and if the next payment (August 2010) is missed then they will terminate my DMP.
Can I move my DMP to Payplan or will my creditors just start contacting me directly?

Hi Bruce, welcome to the boards. Why has the payment been missed? Is it because the monthly payment is set too high, or just a one off expense, like car breakdown or something? If you are having a problem managing of a month, if you put an SOA up, there are many who can help you save and cut down on expenses.

Thanks for the response Marisco it was due to the car MOT.
I'm in the process of sorting out a SOA for help and advice.
