I have come across a beauty/makeup swapping site called www.beautyswapshop.co.uk. Has anyone used this site before? I have been on it a few times and it seems no one is there!

Are there anymore beauty/makeup swapping sites in the uk?

Makeup alley - http://www.makeupalley.com/ do swaps and, although its international, you can filter down to the UK.
It has much better search options than the UK one above seems to - where I couldn't see any option but to trawl through pages of things in no useful order!

Beauty Swap Shop used to have a really vibrant community. It was going really well. Then, I think it was about 2 years ago, the woman who runs it got a company in to change the design and layout.

I don't know what they did, but it seemed to change almost overnight. The number of posts dropped and the kind of people posting on there seemed to change to being mainly people selling something or other.

It was a great shame and rather puzzling. I couldn't see much difference on the surface, but I suppose something crucial must have changed somewhere.

I still pop onto it from time to time in the hope that it will get back to how it used to be.

It seems a really bad design, nothing works and no one is there.

I have registered with Makeupalley and got a swap all ready! I will be staying with them.
