Blackrock Advertiaing Southampton/Bournemout

My daughter has just started job hunting now college has finished. Shes had two interviews with Blackrock advertising in marketing, and two with a an very established company as a receptionist.

Now, she has no long term plans other than to do a ski season and travel so I just think she could work herself into the ground in a crap sales company for very little gain or a steady job thats very upfront about its employment procedures with a definate wage. Am I being harsh on this marketing company [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM], they are based in Bournemouth and Southampton

To me the Blackrock advertising screams out scam but they have offered her a role on their business development programme and she's thrilled. It's direct sales, and is likely to be door to door, or one of those jobs where you stand in the same spot all day, hassling passers-by to sign up to Sky, etc.

Worse, it'll almost certainly be 100% commission based too.

It seems that BlackRock Advertising have been around [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] for quite a while.

I have reported them into CV-Library and TotalJobs and the more times their name appears on forums such as this the better.

They need to be hounded down..

They are registered with Simply Recruit, not quite sure if they are connected in any way. So they would well be blameless in all of this. Google search and check for yourselves.

I recently was offered a job with Black Rock Advertising, there was no mention at all at the interview there would be door to door selling involved, they did promise progression and a £12,000 pay rise within 8 weeks. They say they are very "customer service orientated" I find this hard to believe as any customer focused company would never knock on your door and ask you to sign up for anything.
