BOGOF JVC 60min mini DV £9.99 twin pack @ Morrisons

Just got my new Boots JVC miniDVD as mentioned early this week.

Ordered some new minidvd (Panasonic) 5 in a pack at 7dayshop however as you may know they take some time around 10 days to come, they were £9.95 for 5 plus postage.

Any did my usually taxi service taking the misses shopping Friday night and wanted one tape just to get me going until my order came from 7dayshop.

Well I notice they got 2 60min tapes BOGOF at Morrisons (unsure that thats local or not) but I seen 3 tapes from various sources for around £15 and these were 2x2 JVC 60min for £9.95.

  • I'm sure they used to be packs of three for the same price. So not as good as in the past.

But were they BOGOF. If you look at Argos, Comet to name but a few they are £15 for three £5 each. Even with 7dayshop for five for £9.99 (on offer) that makes them just short of £2 each + postage costs. Morrisons work out £2.49 each then which isnt bad I think.

Thats not to bad that makes them £2.96 each. I might get a spare battery the orginal just ran out and didnt use it all that much about an hour at most just messinga round really. I just ordered some firewire cables as so far I aint impressed with getting video from usb2. The software supplied is basic and ulead videostudio 8 that I normally use doenst appear to like the audio although video is good.

Might just transfer video using firewire or camcorder to dvd using firewire.

There some cheap cables (see below) around £3 got two on order as you got to make sure how many pins for firewire you need 4 pins are require for JVC where as my pc uses 5 and dvdrecorder 4.

My local PC World in Bedford had packs of 6 JVC 60 minute miniDV tapes for £6.99 per pack in their clearance section. Needless to say I grabbed a packet...
