Hi All, Handy here. Well its been a long day. Sad this morning saying goodbye to a mate. Strange way to be sent off, no Cortege, no Hymns, No Widow.

The remembrance service was nice. Car parking was fun and handy was run off his feet, Lord H would have p'd his self watching me do my blue as!!d fly routine.

I learned a lot about the guy today. Turns out he was [STRIKE]a lot[/STRIKE] bit of a stud in his day.
The eulogy told of his Grandparents private burial ground and how he went to see it last year. His Grandfather on one side, Grandmother on the other and his Grandmothers lover head to toe with her in the middle!!!
And I thought my family history was colourful :rotfl:

Still the end of an era in more ways than one. I recon I will still have updates from Hooray Hall, but maybe the humour won't be as plentiful.

No update on MIL today and Mrs H is still catching up with herself, but she won't admit how tired she still is.

Cheers all, back later to keep an eye on our nice new home.

Hi Geebee, I was talking to a local artist this afternoon. A wacky lady but at the moment she is sculpting a family of Wolves at half life size, I have asked for some photo's to post to you. I hope she remembers cos she was a bit sqiffy at the time, but if they are as good as her drawings of Hawks and Eagles (which go for @ a grand a time) they should be good.

    Cheers handy.

That sounds very interesting, thanks Handy, i'd really appreciate that. :kisses3:

You sure she was squiffy??... it might just have been her eccentricity!!.. :rotfl: Awww Bless her.

    Evening all
Shiny new home is starting to look a bit scuffed already, who's been dropping cake crumbs and spilling champagne. I don't know, can't turn my back on you lot for 2 minutes without you making a mess:D:D:D

Handy, you must be knackered after today, Lord H probably was pi$$ing himself laughing at the antics today - most families like that have a colourful history, he's not alone there. Hope Mrs H manages to get some rest, she must be knackered as well.

Erme, the ice cream book sounds great, any time you feel like making some we can all taste test it for you:D

Off to check on the NSD-ers now, back later to chain Fred no 2 up for the night

PS: 3Dogs, please pass my best wishes to Mouseann - have you decided, bus or drive tomorrow?
:) The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time :)
