Recycling Printer Cartridges Tesco

I was wondering whether anybody got any points from recycling their printer cartridges with Tesco.
There is an envelope that you can get from customer services, by the printer cartridges or they are in Tescos own brand of cartridges.
If you tick one box 50p goes to charity and you get 50 points per cartridge.
Has anybody used them, and got the points?

Me too, I am also waiting for 400 points to be added. Thinking maybe they will be added just before the next mailing?? I have been waiting about a month now.0

Can anyone tell me if there are any restrictions on the cartridges Tescos will accept? I have an Epson printer and a lot of recycling sites won't take them for some reason!?!
Thankyou.0 -

I wouldn't hold your breath. I have sent off several different envelopes with a total of about 15 carts, so I am owed 750 points. After a couple of weeks I e-mailed the recycling people. Whilst quick to reply, polite and seemingly efficient they had no record of any of my cartridges associated with my Clubcard number.
I understand from others that it is very hit and miss whether points get credited. I can't believe that all of my mailings went missing. I have, however, sent off a couple more carts this last week so we'll see if the same happens again.
It does make you wonder whether the charity Whizz-Kidz are receiving the promised cash as well...
If anyone has received all their points from ink cart recycling please do let us know.
P.S. Muggle - They will accept (according to the envelope) carts from HP printers, Lexmark printers, Dell printers and also a select few Canon ones. It does say in bold that they don't accept Epson carts I'm afraid. :-(0 -
I have emailed the whizz-kids customer service and will keep this post updated as and when I hear from them.If you obey all the rules...you miss all the fun!! Katherine Hepburn0

Hi, this is my first post and I have been hovering for a while and now time to take the plunge especially as I can definately help on this one............
Recycling cartridge mmmmm maybe not. My husband organised for around 100empty cartridges to be picked up and after 5, yes 5 months of calling and being fobbed off, I took the matter in hand this week and have similarly been fobbed off!! But I was having none of it, like you have all mentioned a donation is supposed to go to charity and we should have received around a lot of points too!
Like charts mentioned, when I contacted them they have no record of these cartridges with our clubcard and I rang numerous times and no manager available at all (this is the story my husband has had on many phonecalls- no one has EVER returned his calls!!!)
So my advice is ring Head Office 01992 632222, I spoke to a really nice guy there on Friday who has now taken over the case as he said he was not happy at all. I have a feeling it will all be sorted out very quickly now.
I get the impression the company who run the cartridge recycling shambles ( I don't think it is TESCO directly), sorry system are like rats leaving a sinking ship, they have no efficient management, no protocols, no system between deliveries and pick ups and an inefficient computer system which doesn't record proper information, to put it bluntly appears they can't run a p*** up in a brewery.
So please ring up head office, Hope this helps someone.
BTW LOVE this site so much!!!!! And glad I finally joined!!;)0 -
I had one credited last statement - it took around 2 months to do, and shows under an odd category. Can't recall which one - sorry.
I did write my clubcard number in much bigger numbers on the back of the slip though, as was a little concerned that it could not be read in boxes that were so small
Good luck all
DTGCSo many glitches, so little time...0
