It will come from abroad because I believe it is illegal to retail a laser over 1mW in the UK, due to the potential for eye damage. I hate those laser pointer toys for cats, how dangerous - cat's eyes are far more sensitive to light than human's.

And generally by thugs who think it's clever to shine them at motorists from bridges above roads or point them in the direction of aircarft near airports.

every coin has two sides. green laser light is used for great entertainment show and not used near airports or as means of weapon.

    And the user must understand:

    Don’t use around airports.
    Don’t use as weapons.
Some high-powered lasers are illegal to buy in the UK.
    Lasers should have safety systems.
If you point at a plane, you will go to jail – trust me, you absolutely don’t want to do this for so many reasons, including your own jail time, endangering others, etc.

I know it is illegal to sell these in the UK, but they should be illegal to own as well (if not already).
