Going to Tribunal

Just a quick question.

PWC asked for re-assessment and told csa of her name being changed, due to getting married. But on the Tribunal papers they still have her as being single. Could this have any effect on what will happen?

The csa didnt act on this assessment request for 3 years and i've been landed with 8K of arrears,on top of what i've already paid.

So does PWC home income effect things? I know it does for NRP with partners. Or is that bit just a one sided rule?

Thanks for any help.

  • I think it depends on whether you are CSA 1 or 2.

  • Sorry,forgot to say it's a CSA1 case.

Depends Kelloggs best one to ask.

I know that if she is in receipt of Working Tax Credits then her income cannot be used as part of the assessment, if she isn't then best check with Kelloggs.

But if she is married, then you should have asked for variation on grounds her husband can contribute to housing etc.

Also has she had any children with her husband ?
  • PWC has 1 child with her husband.

Can somebody please confirm that PWC's husband's wages should be taken into account with a CSA 1 case. I've always been lead to believe that PWC,NRP and NRP's husband/wife were the thre sets of wages used, rather than all 4 adults. ????

    Good luck with your tribunal.

I found out that the pwc having remarried didn't make a blind bit of difference due to pwc sponging off the state yet on the other-hand they want all my wife's details.
good luck if you get to tribunal. in my experience its a long drawn out process and surely common sense could apply at CSA complaints
  • Thanks for all the replies.

One last thing,can/will the PWC be at the tribunal?
