lowell/clarity help needed!!!!!

hi all need some advice please

i owe £360ish pound to abbey and i had a lightbulb moment and wanted to get myself anyway the debt was held with clarity having previously held with lowell, i got in touch with clarity and set up a d/d for £30 a month

anyway i got a text saying ring clarity asap. so i rang and they said my account has been closed and to ring lowell(despite me setting up a d/d!!!!)

so having rung lowell i then set up another d/d as they said there was no plan set on the account!!!!

has anyone else had a similar experience or what is your opinion on this??? i find it very strange as i had already set up a plan only for my account to be moved somewhere else????

any advice or comments appreciated am just so mad as i am really trying to sort this :mad:and getting messed around

  • Hi, I haven't been in your situation so can't help with them moving you around. Just wanted to say make sure you cancel the DD in favour of Clarity with your bank so you don't pay the £30 twice. Also is they're any way you can pay more than £30 a month; if its driving you crazy it might be worth getting rid of the debt sooner and at your current rate it'll take a year.

    Good luck and keep smiling!

    Hi

Please never use a direct debit to pay a DCA, they are quite capable of completely clearing out you account. Was this your card number or account number that you gave?
