I need a guarantor
Hi guys,
I need a loan of £500 from Quick FLM Loans and have been accepted as long as i find a guarantor with good credit and who is earning over £500 a month.
Unfortunately the people i know are pretty much in the same position as me and it's hard to find someone with good credit these days. So i just wondered if anyone had any ideas to find a suitable guarantor at all?
I had an idea (it's stupid don't get me wrong). What if i found a stranger that would be a guarantor for me? So basically if i offered them £100 out of the money to keep, and then gave them valuable items to keep until i paid off the loan which were worth the loan amount?
It sounds silly but then there isn't exactly any risk for the guarantor seeing as they have my items and can sell them if i didn't happen to pay the loan off.
Could it work?
What risks would be involved?
Thanks

If you have these valuable items for security, go to a pawnbroker.0

So you pay your loan off and go back to this stranger,if you can find him/her, to ask for your goods back and they don't know anything about the goods at all.
Not only does it sound silly - it is!Space available for rent0 -

Of course that's one of the risks but that could be resolved if it was multiple items, say i gave them a bike worth £250 and a laptop worth £250, pay £250 off the loan and collect one item for example.0 -

So you give them £100 for their trouble and a laptop and a bike - then you pay off £250.00 and see if you can find them to get your laptop or bike back to find that they've sold them.
I'm sorry, but just sell the items in the first place to raise the cash.Space available for rent0 -

That was an example and i obviously completely agree with what you're saying. But to me if i gave them a laptop i didn't want anyway they can quite happily sell it and then pay off the remaining balance0 -
