3 hard questions plz help

im a parent with care with 2 children 6 and 8.i have moved to Egypt last year. i had a private agreement with the kids father until he started to mess about ,i applied for csa online and gave them my old house address in the uk .the csa notified him and he tried to stop payments by saying im not in the uk . then they said i still can have the money because I"ve claimed income support and child allowance during the last year so i meet the criteria, they will collect my first payment on the 3rd of august. he again said he contacted HM customs and benefit agency to tell them im not in the uk and He said the investigation is on going and they gonna stop it. my question is can he really stop the payments? even after the csa decided it can go on? can HM customs or benefit agency stop the payments like he says?

later on i havnt recieved any payment and its the 4th of august now! he is saying they took the money from his wages and i didnt get anything yet my . second question is do i have to sign any papers that may be sent to my old adress in the UK befor i can get the money in my bank account? and if not Has anyone got an idea why the money isnt in my account till now?

i dont know all the laws regarding claiming whlst abroad, but just at a guess i say you are commiting fraud if still claiming benefits here and also stating to CSA a uk address

i might be wrong, and if i am i apologise

they have until the 19th of the month to pay you if the money has been deducted from his wages, so you may have to wait until then. Do you live permenantly abroad? If so, then the CSA do not have the jurisdiction to deal with your case.

thanks kelloggs36 for ur help no im not permantly living abroad ive been abroad a year and im going back next month ,so they took money of him the second so ill get it the 19th? is that correct?
  • It can take anything up to a month for money they have got from the NRP to be passed on to the PWC. If you have been honest with everyone about your whereabouts, I'm not sure why there would be a problem.

An employer must pay the CSA by the 19th of the month following the month in which the deduction is made. The agency then forward it on to you, this can take a few days.
    A fairer CSA for all

If he gets paid on the 24th then the employer has up to the 19th of the following month to send it

i.e if he got paid on the 24th July then the employer has up to the 19th of August to send it to the CSA.

The 19th is the cut off - all payments must be received by CSA by then.

The CSA then distribute it to the PWC. This could take a few days, or in my case takes up to 15 working days.

If the payment was received by the CSA on the 3rd of August then I would wait a couple of weeks before chasing payment from them.

It's not a simple timetable and money is taken by employer, paid to CSA and then paid to PWC all in the space of a couple of days.
