I'm no expert but I can't see how this laptop was ever worth £699 (well not in the past few months anyway).

256 RAM, 40 gig HD and integrated graphics seems very low spec these days and it certainly is not the bargain that Play.com would have you believe with Laptops with double the memory and bigger HD's being readily available for similar money.

That's actually not a bad spec for the money. Not worth £699 in the last 6-9 months - maybe they're using the 'Woolworths' computer pricing method!!

A quick Froogle shows that a lot of other suppliers have this at the same price or a bit less(<£390).

Hard drive and RAM are a bit small, but everyting else is good for the money - Media reader, Firewire, 15.4" widescreen, 5 hour battery (I don't beleive that to be honest!!)
