Making Razors Last Long...

To make a razor - disposable or otherwise - last longer, after you have used and rinsed it you should store the head section in cooking oil. (Just enough to cover the blade - in a hair spray lid/small jam jar/egg cup etc) and the oil will stop the water and air rusting your blade. (The main reason razors feel blunt and scratchy)
When you want to use it again, just pat the razor dry with tissue and away you go.

Thanks very much.
I know it's not a razor tip but I just use cheap conditioner instead of shaving foam/gel.
I used to get them waxed but that's 'cos I was at college and had to - saved money though!0 -
Good tip. I wrap my razor tightly in a bit of cloth which seems to work quite well.'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper.' Quentin Crisp0
